Founded in 2020, Shawn Ong Piano Studio has been dedicated to teaching music through real understanding. Led by Mr. Shawn Ong, who has guided over 500 students, the studio focuses on building strong fundamentals, developing effective piano techniques, and nurturing confidence in every learner.

Mr Shawn Ong
With over 15 years of experience and a degree in Classical Music Performance, Shawn specializes in teaching young children, adults, and seniors, through personalised 1-to-1 classes that focus on real understanding rather than rote memorization.
Mr Shawn began his piano journey at the age of five and discovered his passion for performance in his teenage years after being inspired by his pianist idol, Maksim Mrvica. He went on to pursue both his Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Music Performance at Lasalle College of the Arts, majoring in piano, where he trained under esteemed mentors including Dr. John Sharpley, Mr. Frank DeMeglio, and Mr. Benjamin Loh—whose guidance played a vital role in shaping his technical mastery and musical expression.
Highly regarded for nurturing confident, well-rounded pianists, Mr. Shawn has guided his students to achieve a 100% ABRSM examination pass rate, with many attaining merits and distinctions. He actively organizes student concerts and supports outstanding performers in regional and international competitions, helping each student develop strong artistry and a lifelong love for music.
